Australian National University (ANU) is offering scholarships for national and international students from all the countries over the world. These scholarships are offered for those applicants who want to pursue their PhD, Professional Doctorate by Research at Australian National University (ANU) in Australia. ANU provides scholarships on a full-time basis for international students. However, in accordance with strict criteria, the scholarship can be awarded for part-time study (not for the international scholars).

Scholarships Description / Details

ANU provides many grants for application, these are:

  • ANU scholarship value is $28,597 per annul
  • Travel and Removal allowances for students relocating to Canberra to commence their research program
  • Thesis allowance
  • Dependent Child allowance for International students only
  • Paid medical, maternity and paternity leave

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the ANU scholarship, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Applicant is a domestic or international student
  • Applicants must have a bachelor degree with at least first-class  honours and some colleges accept upper second-class honours degree
  •                                                 OR
  • Have a Master degree with a research component or equivalent, First-class honours from a recognized university
  •                                                 OR
  • A research Master degree from a recognized university
  • Applicants from Australian and New Zealand; Permanent Resident of Australia; International student
  • Applicants must have submitted an Application for Admission to ANU

(A) No application is required specifically for this scholarship. All eligible candidates will be assessed for this scholarship.

(Q) What is the procedure of payment of scholarship/ award by ANU??

(A)  It will be paid in fortnightly instalments unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.

(Q) Is there any family allowance in this scholarship? If yes, then how much?

(A) Yes only international students may receive this allowance for children. The dependent child allowance is up to $3,000 per annum for each dependent child (to a maximum of $9,000 per annum) and is paid in fortnightly instalments at the same time as the stipend payments.
