What is Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert?

CCIE is a credential mainly assesses the skills needed for network engineers to plan, operate and trouble shoot complicated network infrastructures with the help of Cisco machinery.

Division of Tracks in CCIE

CCIE is further classified into several areas that are known to be “Tracks”. They are Routing and Switching, Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking, Voice and Wireless.

Tracks which are retired in CCIE are: Design, ISP/Dial, SNA/IP Integration, Storage Networking and WAN Switching.

CCIE Requirements

CCIE requirements are:

• Candidates have to pass One Written Qualification Exam.

• A Separate Lab Exam.

Exam Information

CCIE Routing and Switching Written Exam ( 400-101 CCIE)	CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Exam
Exam will be of 120 minutes with 90-110 questions. It costs $350.	Exam will be of maximum 8 hours with three sections.

• one type of exam either proctored or self-administered.
• Schedule the exam online, phone or through test center.
• Pearson VUE is a co-partner of cisco and will provide every single need regarding exam.

Recertification Policy

• CCIE is recertified after every two years
• If recertification is not done, holder and his employees will get suspended.
• Recertification deadline can be seen online at any time
• Cisco’s recertification declares to pass one of the following right before the expiry date:
• Pass current CCIE exam OR CCIE lab exam.
• Pass current CCDE exam OR CCDE practical exam.
• Pass Cisco Certified Architect interview and Cisco Architect Board review.
• Make sure you are using the similar ID and password for original qualification.
• Recertification exam are of 2 hour with multiple choice questions.
