Open Society Foundations is offering Civil Society Leadership Awards (CSLA) scholarships for international students all over the world. These scholarships are offered for those students who want to pursue their masters /MS degree program in different universities of any country under the CSLA program. CSLA supporting those students who clearly demonstrate academic and professional excellence and a deep commitment to leading positive social change in their communities.

Scholarship Description / Details

CSLA provides many grants for the applicants, these following benefits under the CSLA program:

  • Tuition fees and mandatory university fees
  • Monthly stipend for room, board, and other living expenses
  • Program-related travel
  • Accident and sickness insurance
  • Educational materials and professional development funds
  • All costs associated with an annual student conference
  • Internship support

Eligibility Criteria

In to be considered for CSLA program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be a citizen of an eligible country
  • Must have bachelor’s degree with excellent academic records
  • Applicants have proficiency in the language of English or French
  • Must be able to receive and maintain a visa or study permit as required by the host country

Ineligible applicants:

  • Funding for applicants from any country that are not mentioned in the eligible countries list
  • Funding for not foreign language teaching degrees, business administration, physical sciences, engineering, or medical degrees
  • Funding for not courses or universities not listed in the full guidelines
  • Funding for not dependent family members
  • Funding for not individuals receiving other Open Society funds
  • Funding for not employees of Open Society Foundations
