Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships 2021

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships support applicants to study Master’s degree courses that are either offered in partnership with universities in developing countries, or delivered directly by UK institutions in any country.

Scholarships Description / Details

  • This scholarship covers tuition fees and study grants where required.
  • No IELTS required. In addition to this, an applicant must provide evidence of a particular level of English language proficiency.
  • An applicant would be notified from selected university via email if application is successful. To find out more, see Terms and conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for these scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a developing Commonwealth country, refugee, or British protected person
  • Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
  • Hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard. A lower qualification and sufficient relevant experience may be considered in certain cases
  • Be unable to afford to study the programme without this scholarship

How to Apply / Download Scholarships Form / Documents Required

To apply for these scholarships, applicants must:

  • Apply to study an eligible Master’s course at a UK university that is participating in the Distance Learning scheme
  • Also secure admission to a course in addition to applying for a Distance Learning Scholarship
  • Check with chosen university for their specific advice on when to apply, admission requirements, and rules for applying.
  • Make application using the CSC’s online application system, in addition to any other application that is required to complete by chosen university.
  • The CSC will not accept any applications that are not submitted via the online application system. Further selection criteria can be download from here.
