On the other hand 4G is also using the same technique but it is using another technique of message switching which makes its use more significant and useful. As far as the architecture is concerned 3G is designed upon wide area cell based network whereas 4G is using the architecture of integration of LAN and WAN.

Design principle and applications: Both the technologies were designed primarily for voice communication rather than data transformation. As far as 4G design and application is concerned 4G is designed not for the voice communication but for the data transmission. In this way 4G offers faster access to data using mobile phones. For example when we watch streaming video that streaming video will work better with 4G because there will be less shuttering and high resolution of screen. Also when it comes to the multiplayer and online games it will work faster and provide and high data transmission offered by 4G.
