Gramophone

Emile Berliner is widely credited as inventor of gramophone and hence is considered as an important scientist of the field. The invention “Gramophone” was named as such for the first time in 1887 after the first patent he got. Gramophone is also known as phonograph and it is derived from a Greek word. This is a kind of device which is used for the recording. It can record and reproduce the sound recordings. There is a rotating cylinder inside the gramophone which holds all the important function. The vibrations of sounds are saved in the shape of waveforms as a groove in that rotating cylinder or disk of the gramophone. The surface which was recorded is rotated later on and hence in this way, a stylus converts those vibrations in the form of playback sound again.
