Higher Education Loan Board Scholarships 2016
HELB is offering scholarships for local students of Kenya. These scholarships are for the students of Masters and PhD degree who want to pursue their studies in different universities under HELB. These scholarships are focusing on highly talented students from within Kenya in order to provide them opportunities for their higher studies.

Applicants can choose any filed for their Masters and PhD degrees studies which are offered in different universities under this program.

Two years of Masters and Three years of PhD degree program.
Scholarship Description / Details
This scholarship is offering many grants for the grantees of this program, which are given as follows.
- The scholarship will cover the basic expenditures of the students under this scholarship program.
- These grantees of this scholarship will be awarded a basic stipend in order to meet up their expenditures.
- The amount of this stipend will be as 200,000 KSHs for Masters Degree students and 4, 50, 000 for PhD degree students.
Eligibility Criteria
In to be considered for this program, applicants must have be
- Minimum of second class upper division
- Admission to a local public or private university recognized by CHE
- Reporting for 1st year of study
- 30 years below for Masters;
- 40 years or below for PhD.
How to Apply / Download Scholarship Form / Documents Required
- Applicant should access, fill and print the Postgraduate Scholarship Application Form (PGSAF) from the website helb.co.ke
- Print two copies of the PGSAF.
- Have the form properly filled and stamped by the relevant authorities and attaches all necessary documents as indicate on the checklist on the PGSAF.
- Submit one copy of the PGSAF, duly filled, signed and stamped and the relevant certified copies of transcripts and certificates attached, to our office
- Retain one copy of the duly filled PGSAF.
