Jiangsu Provincial Government Scholarships 2021
Jiangsu Provincial Government is offering Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship for international students all over the world. The aim of this scholarship is to promote the development of higher education of International students in Jiangsu, to further improve the profile of Jiangsu Education to the world. These scholarships are offered for those students who want to pursue their studies in any field in the universities and colleges of Jiangsu. This scholarship will also include those non-degree program students and exchange students in accordance with educational exchange agreements and MOUs between the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the governments of other states, institutions, universities, and international organizations. This scholarship is offered to those outstanding international students or scholars to take up full time study in colleges and universities of Jiangsu. The goal of this scholarship program is also to make Jiangsu a preferred province for overseas students to study in. There are two categories of applicants who can apply:
- Outstanding international students who intend to take up full time study in Jiangsu province’s universities and colleges.
- Non degree program students and exchange students.

Applicants can choose any field /area for intermediate, undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs in universities and colleges of Jiangsu.
Other latest Scholarships in China are also offered for different degrees and subjects all over the China.

Duration of Scholarships
For Full Scholarships
Degree duration is standard for intermediate, undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. degree program
For Partial Scholarships
Degree duration is one academic year
For Non Degree Scholarships
Duration is 3 to 12 months.
Scholarships Description / Details
For Full Scholarships
- A fee waiver of tuition
- Registration
- Laboratory experiments
- Internship
- Basic textbooks
- The cost of experiments or internships beyond the program curricula is at the student’s own expense
- The cost of books or learning materials other than required basic textbooks is also a student’s own expense
- Free on-campus dormitory accommodation or an accommodation allowance of CNY 10000 per year
- A living allowance of CNY1,500 per month
- For this living allowance scholarship recipients registering before the 15th of the registration month (the 15th included) will be granted the full living allowance of that month
- Recipients registering after the 15th of the registration month will only be granted half of the living allowance of that month
- Comprehensive Medical Insurance
- Protection Scheme for International
For Partial Scholarships
- College student: CNY20,000 per academic year
- Undergraduate student / Postgraduate student: CNY 30,000 per academic year
For Non Degree Scholarships
- Non-degree program student / Exchange student: CNY2, 000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens
- Good health
- For college and undergraduate programs, applicants must have a senior high school diploma with a good academic performance
- Under the age of 30
- For the master’s degree program must have a bachelor’s degree
- Under the age of 35
- For the doctoral degree program must have a master’s degree
- Under the age of 40
- Applicants must agree to obey the relevant laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the host universities or colleges
- Must have a good academic record
- Applicants cannot be recipients of other scholarships offered by the Chinese government, local governments, or other organizations simultaneously.
How to Apply / Download Scholarship Form / Documents Required
To apply for this scholarship:
- Log on to the “Study in Jiangsu” website studyinjiangsu.org
- Register an individual account
- Complete the Application Form online, and upload e-copies of relevant original documents that are required
- Print the Application Form, sign it, and then mail it with notarized copies of the relevant documents to the Office of Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship Management Team.
Documents that are required
- Scanned copy of the passport photo page
- Highest diploma / degree certificate (notarized photocopy).
- High school students or university students shall also provide Certificate
- Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English
- Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy)
- Applicants for postgraduate studies must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors with contact details of referees.
- Other relevant documents.
Education in Jiangsu
There are 1.8 million students in Jiangsu and 131 colleges and universities. In Jiangsu, higher education institutions have set up exchanges and cooperative relationships with more than 500 international institutions or universities and colleges. In Jiangsu province, the number of university students includes approximately 10 percent of the total university students in all of China. Till now from 175 countries, 130000 overseas students have come to study in Jiangsu.

Do you acknowledge receipt of the sent document by sending an email to the applicant that you have received their application form?
At what point should an applicant apply to the university so that the applicant does not miss the deadline? Should the applicant wait for confirmation that they have been awarded the scholarship or they can go on with applications even before confirmation of the scholarship? And if the university asks about your financial sponsor, would it be right to indicate the the name of the scholarship?

To whom it may concern,
I have already applied for Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship. On the website it was written that the documents I need to mail to your office should be the notarized copies. But to make the official notarised copies takes a lot of time (more than a week approximately) so I may miss the deadline till the 5th June. But I do have all the necessary documents and their official english translations (officially signed and sealed). Is it possible to send the scanned versions of the original official documents? Hello. I applied for this scholarship on 31 May. They submitted my documents , after that I downloaded application form and sent it with my other required documents at the same day as I read 31 May was deadline. I am worry about that my sent documents will be accepted or not as I sent them with exspress mail and it takes at least 7 or 10 days. Thanks a million in advance.
