Scholarship Description / Details

  • Excellence Award: Total fee waiver is £8,000, plus a £1,000 cash award
  • Merit Award: £1,000 cash award, plus £1,000 off fees for postgraduate program
  • Alumni Award: £1,000 cash award
  • Research Award: £1,000 cash award
  • Community Award: £1,000 cash award

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of LSBU’s postgraduate programs
  • Excellence Award: Must have a first-class honours bachelors degree from UK University or international equivalent
  • Merit Award: Completed bachelors degree with minimum 2.1 CPGA from any university
  • Alumni Award: Have bachelors degree with minimum 2.1 CGPA from LSBU
  • Research Award: For research awards only accepts application for an M/Phil, PhD or Professional Doctorate program
  • Community Award: Have minimum 2.2 CGPA in bachelors degree from any university

  • Personal Statement (maximum 500 words)
  • Two Reference Letters
  • University transcripts/certificates
  • Documents for Excellence Award:
  • Evidence Academic record
  • Professional and Practical achievements
  • Achievements should be at national or international level
  • For Merit Award documents: Evidence of extra-curricular or entrepreneurial activities
  • Documents for Alumni Award: Evidence of achievements in extra-curricular activities
  • Documents for Community Award: Evidence of applicant significant contribution to the local community of Lambeth, Southwark or Lewisham, i.e. involvement in specific community projects, volunteering and other civic engagement
