Qatar Petroleum Scholarships 2021

Qatar Petroleum is offering scholarships to Qatari students in order to meet the needs of industry and Energy sectors for a highly qualified workforce. This scholarship provides opportunity to Qatari students to continue their higher education studies within or outside Qatar. This scholarship is specifically for those Qatari students who aim to make their career in oil and gas industry or related business sectors. Qatar Petroleum is welcoming applications from two types of applicants: 1) Direct Scholarship (Applicants who are recently graduated from high school can apply). 2) University Transfer (Applicants who are currently enrolled in university degree but want to transfer their scholarship with Qatar Petroleum).

Scholarship Description / Details

Qatar Petroleum provides the following grants to the applicants:

For applicants studying within Qatar

  • Full tuition and enrolment fees
  • Monthly salary
  • Medical allowance (membership of company’s health scheme)
  • Life insurance against accidents
  • Book allowance
  • Graduation bonus
  • Internship opportunity in Qatar Petroleum

For applicants studying overseas

  • Travel allowance (including travel ticket and other concessional tickets)
  • Monthly allowances
  • Mobilization / Demobilization allowances

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, Applicants must possess the following:

  • Must be a Qatari National (have nationality of Qatar)
  • Must be 25 or less than 25 years old
  • Must pass the interview conducted by Qatar petroleum
  • Must have to agree on the department and work location that is assigned to him by the Qatar Petroleum
  • The offering university or the university in which the applicant is currently enrolled must be recognized by Higher Education Institute.

For Direct Scholarship

  • Must have high school certificate of year 2014 or later with at least 80% marks (for students studied in Qatari or Arabic schools) and 75% marks (for students studied in western schools).
  • High school certificate must be authenticated by Supreme Education Council (for western school).
  • Must have certificate of IELTS or TOEFL iBT with at least 5.5 score in IELTS or 71 in the TOEFL iBT.
  • Must provide an acceptance letter to study a degree program.

For University Transfer

  • Applicant will have to select the field of study provided by the Qatar Petroleum.
  • Applicant must have completed 36 credit hours with at least 3.0 CGPA (For credit hour based system)
  • OR
  • Applicant must have completed one year of degree with at least 60% marks (For yearly based system)
