Singapore Government Scholarships 2021

Singapore Government (SINGA) is offering scholarships for international students. This SINGA is offered for those students who want to pursue their Ph.D. degrees in the universities of Singapore. SINGA award is given to international students with excellent academic records. The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a partnership between the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (ASTAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The aim of this scholarship program is to give opportunity to international students to work alongside world renowned researchers in the state of the art facilities and in a multicultural environment. And promote a lively and culturally diverse research community of international students. The goal of this scholarship program is also to strengthen the relationship between Singapore and other countries.

Description / Details:

SINGA is offering many grants for the applicants, which are given as follows:

  • Full support of tuition fees
  • Stipends – S$2,000 per month (S$24,000 per annum), to be increased to S$2,500 per month (S$30,000 per annum) after passing Qualifying Examinations
  • One-time S$1,000 settling-in allowance
  • One-time airfare grant of S$1,500
  • Estimated cost of living in Singapore

  • Good reports from academic referees

Singapore Government Scholarships Application Process

The Singapore International Graduate Award is a scholarship program offered by government of Singapore to international students. Step 2:

After clicking the site this page will appear.

If you already have an Email on A*STAR portal then enter your email and password. If you don’t have then click ‘Register now’ to make an email.

Step 3:

After clicking register now this page will appear.

Here you will give your personal details and click register to get an email ID.

Now you have your email ID to enter it into the application form.

Step 4:

After entering your email this page will appear.

Click ‘Apply to Scholarships’ on left side.

After clicking scroll down and this page will appear.

Click ‘Apply’ in front of option ‘Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)’.

Step 5:

After clicking apply (instructions) page will appear, read the instructions, scroll down and click ‘next’.

Step 6:

After clicking next following page will appear.

Here in ‘Personal information’ box, you will give your personal details. And also attach your passport size photograph in the upload box at the right.

Here in ‘Citizenship information’ box, you will give details about your citizenship (like type, identity card number, passport number etc).

Here in ‘Contact information’ box, you will give your contact details (like your address, city name, country name, state name, zip code, email address, mobile number etc).

Here in ‘Family details’ box, you will give information regarding your family. After filling all boxes click ‘Next’ at the bottom right to open next tab.

Step 7:

After clicking next this page will appear.

Here in ‘Tertiary Education’ box, you will give details about your education (like name of Institute, course of study, course start and end/ expected end date etc). Also attach transcripts in upload box. After filling box click ‘Next’ at the bottom right.

Step 8:

After filling all the tabs click submit, and your application form will be submitted.
