Biography of Steve Jobs

Early Life

Steve Jobs founder of Apple company brought revolution by inventing many new things in the world of technology, though he was not much literate person. He was neither a computer scientist not a hardware engineer. He was born in San Francisco in 1955. His father Abdulfattah Jandali was from Syria while his mother was an American citizen. Later on, Paul and Clara Jobs adopted him. Paul was mechanic by profession while Clara was working as an accountant. After his early school education, he was enrolled in Reed College. He spent only six months there and then he was dropped. Some months later, he returned to California to find a job. After doing many jobs, still he felt that he is not satisfied and this thing resulted in form of Apple.

Founder of Apple

One of his friends, Woz, who was much keen about electronics, built his own mother board for computer because he wanted a computer for his own use. Jobs convinced Wozinak that they should start a company and as a result Apple came into being on April 1, 1976. They spent some time in assembling of boards for Apple I computers and were selling them individually. On the other hand, Wozinak was working hard on Apple II that was going to support color graphics. Jobs convinced former executive of Intel Mike Markkula to invest $2, 50,000 in his company.

Making History

Although, they were optimistic that apple will grow rapidly but it quickly became an American success story. After its great success, its investors thought that it is time to take Apple to the public and hence IPO took place in 1980 and Jobs net worth was now more than $200 million, only after four years of Apple’s start. In 1981, as a head of Macintosh, he thought to make a tiny and affordable personal computer with a GUI of folders, icons and mouse. After successful launch of Macintosh, a lot of tension was created between him and other directors of Apples which resulted in that he left Apple in May, 1985.

The King of the Technology

After returning to Apple, Steve didn’t look back and He made Apple progressing day by day. He launched a digital Hub strategy in Apple’s appliances and many other new products. Some of his products e.g. IPod and iPhone which were running his own created OS were remarkable revolution in technology. He introduced iPhone at Macworld on January 9, 2007.

Death

Unfortunately, while he was in the most successful era of his business, Jobs was facing cancer with much intensity. As his condition was getting worse day by day, he left his post as Apple CEO on August 24, 2011. After this, he died on October 5, 2011. His death was a death of an era and created such a gap in world of technology which can never be fulfilled.
