UAE Government IRENA Scholarships 2021
UAE Government is offering International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) scholarships for international students from developing countries. These scholarships are offered for those applicants who want to pursue their postgraduate degree program at the different universities in Abu Dhabi (UAE). This scholarship is awarded to excellent students from developing countries.

- Chemical Engineering
- Computing and Information Science
- Electrical Power Engineering
- Engineering Systems and Management
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Microsystems Engineering
- Sustainable Critical Infrastructure
- Water and Environmental Engineering

Number of Scholarships
Approximately 20 awards are offered for postgraduate students under this scholarship.
Duration of Scholarship
The duration is two (02) for Masters Degree.
Scholarship Description / Details
IRENA scholarships provide many grants, these following grants are:
- Full financial support for 2 years:
- Cover tuition fees
- Textbooks
- Laptop
- Medical Insurance
- Housing
- Travel expenses
- Cover cost of living allowance
Eligibility Criteria
In to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be:
- Applicant must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution, college and university in the field of engineering, science and information technology
- Applicants have minimum CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0
- Good in spoken and written English
- TOEFL score 91 (IBT)
- IELTS score 6.5.
- GRE score 700(or 155 on the new scale)
- Have good academic record
- Desired specialization within the chosen postgraduate program
- Knowledge acquired in the field of renewable energies and relevant previous professional engagements or experience
- In case of equal aptitude, priority access will be given to applicants/students from Developing Countries.

Applicants can apply for this scholarship, must follow some steps:
- Applicants can apply online application system from main site
- Applications have to be submitted electronically.
- Attach all necessary documents with application form.
- Please note that you have to indicate your interest in an IRENA Scholarship on Masdar Institute online application form by ticking the appropriate box. Otherwise you will apply for a common MASDAR scholarship and you will not be able to benefits from IRENA’s Lecture Programs and other advantages.
