University of Copenhagen is offering scholarships for Danish and international applicants for PhD positions at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. These PhD positions are offered by the Faculty of  Humanities at the University of Copenhagen. These awards are awarded on the academic basis.

Faculty of  Humanities offer PhD scholarship, The research area in one of the following departments:

  • SAXO Institute
  • Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies
  • Department of Arts and Cultural Studies
  • Royal School of Library and Information Science (RSLIS)

Scholarships Description / Details

  • The position as a PhD fellow is available for a 3-year period
  • Salary and other terms of employment are stated in the Protocol on PhD Research Fellows signed by the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:

  • applicants must have obtained a two years Master´s degree or a equivalent qualification
  • Must have fluency in English and excellent communication skills
  • Applicants must have excellent academic record and other activities

  • Application must contain:
  • Cover letter
  • Full CV
  • A copy of the applicant’s Master’s degree diploma and transcript of records
  • Bachelor degree diploma and transcript of records
  • Other information to consider
  • The application, in English, must be submitted electronically
  • Two referees will have to send letters of recommendation separately
  • A project proposal (12,000 characters)
