Alexander Brongniart scientist of minerals was a biologist and he has made many contribution to the fields of biology e.g. zoology and mineralogy. Alexander Brongniart was born in a city of France named as Paris on 5 February, 1770. His father was a well known architect in France. After his early education, he started a job as an assistant of Antoine Louis who was a professor of biology and chemistry at that time. This was his first exposure in this filed and this led him to further interest in this field that he started further research in this field.

Achievements

Alexander Brongniart was very much famous when he worked as a pharmacist for French Forces. In upcoming years he was appointed as professor of different fields e.g. he was the professor of mineralogy, plants chemistry and other related branches of science and biology. Alexander Brongniart spent most of time in his hometown where he was attached with many universities and was teaching there as a professor. He conducted many researches over there and even helped his students staying at his own home.

He studied the gaseous origins of both of these minerals and noted many important properties of both of these

Publications

As mentioned above, his first publication was about mineralogy and zoology but he published many other publications also which were for the fields of chemistry and biology.. He was the first one who classified and differentiated zoology from other fields of biology and said that mineralogy is a totally different field. Alexander Brongniart was the person who published some publications on mammals and studied them individually in a way which opened numerous ways for new scientists.
