Biography of Alexander Graham Bell

Early Life

Alexander Graham Bell Inventor of Telephone was a very famous scientist. There are very less number of people who have changed the history of technology completely and this type of people always live in hearts of people. One of these greatest scientists ever is Sir Alexander graham Bell who was the inventor of telephone. He was born on 3rd March 1847 in Edinburg Scotland. He was the only child of his parents while all of his other siblings died due to tuberculosis in a very young age. He got his early education from his father while staying at home. Later on, he was enrolled in Royal High School in his own city Edinburg. He left that school when he was just 15 years of age because he was not good in studies.

Contributions

After that, he migrated to London and lived there with his grandfather and got admission in an academy there. After early education, he joined University of Edinburg. When he was just 12 years old he invented a small instrument and that is why he was provided a small mill inside his home. When he was 23 years of age, he moved to Canada to live with his brother and then he set up his own workshop to do researches on different things and this thing led him to invent many new things.

Further Achievements

In the decade of 1870s, the telegraph message system was highly expensive and there was a need of any alternative. Bell was trying hard to find an alternate way. He got financial support from two different sides but he was shortening the basic knowledge of this field but he didn’t lose hope and kept trying.

Inventor of Telephone

In 1875, accidently he invented an instrument which could be used to transfer sound message or to pass sound. He was working with one of his friends in his laboratory and this thing happened who eventually told him that they have succeeded in their experiment.  He launched his own telephone company named as Bell Telephone Company in 1877. The engineers in his company made many changes to his product and it was working smoothly and in a much better manner now. He conducted many experiments further in the field of communication to find out more new and new things and to improve existing ones. He invented photo phone transmission of sound from a beam of a light which gave new dimension to field of fiber optics.

Death

Bell was facing intense diabetes and he died of it on 2nd August, 1922 in Nova Scotia when he was about 75 years old. When he was buried, every phone in USA was silenced in the honor of greatest inventor ever.
