Biography of Bill Gates

Early Life

Bill Gates founder of Microsoft in a very well known computer entrepreneur. He was born in Seattle, Washington which is a state of America on 28 October 1955 in the home of William H. Gates. His father had four sons and Bill was his third son. His interest in computer field rose in very young age and he was good student from his early days. He was enrolled in his local town school but after some time, he left that school and was admitted in Lakeside school in the age of 13 years. He studied mathematics and science with distinction from there and then after that he moved to Harvard College for further studies.

Interest in Computer Science

Bill Gates was interested in computer science when he was just 13 years of age. At that time, giant mainframe computers were used everywhere and were not easy to handle. His school once arranged a fund raising campaign to buy a mainframe computer for children and Bill Gates lead this campaign. After his successful achievement of the desired results he was granted special access to that computer whenever he wanted. By using that he became an expert of computer and found another student named as Paul Allen who was another computer lover. Both of them, once hacked a computer of Computer Center Corporation and as result they lost their free access to computer. In the age of 17 years, Allen and Gates developed a software to monitor and count traffic and as a result they were awarded 20000$.

Foundation of Microsoft

Their interest in computer opened many new secrets of computer upon both of them and they started programming of different software.  In January of 1975, America faced issue of Popular Electronics which demonstrated the Altair 8800 and this thing rose interest of Bill Gates for foundation of any company. He contacted with MITS and met with CEO of the company. This company was the inventor of microcomputer in USA at that time. In a live demo to CEO Ed Roberts, Allen and Gates developed an Altair emulator which was capable to run that minicomputer of MITS. After this successful demo, both of them worked under a joined agreement and named it as micro –soft in year of 1975 in November. They worked continuously for just one year and after the hyphen drop Bill Gates launched his own computer technology company in 1976 and named it as Microsoft.

Microsoft Corporation

Microsoft Corporation worked for development of an operating system for every kind of computers and as a result launched its first version of Microsoft Windows XP in 1985. After that, Microsoft launches an update of that Windows XP every year and has launched many other windows as Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 7, Windows 8, and millennium version of windows till date.

Present Situation

Bill Gates was the world wealthiest man till the year of 2009 from last 12 years. Presently, Bill Gates is no more a CEO of Microsoft and has retired from this position.
