Biography of Christian von Koenigsegg

Early Life

Christian von Koenigsegg founder of Koenigsegg Agera was born on 2^nd July, 1972. He has great interest in cars right from his early childhood. His interest in cars developed when he was just five years of age. His interest developed when he watched a movie named Flaklypa Grand Prix, which was a story that revolved around a bicycle builder who invented a sport racing car named I1 Tempo Gigante. He got inspiration from that movie and wished to form a sports car by himself.

His first job was a summer job which was at a Suzuki dealership that was located outside Stockholm, Sweden. His job was to clean cars. Apart from his job, he has a hobby of tuning mopeds. Because of his interest he became very famous in that area.

Some of His Inventions

He invented a Chip Player. According to his belief, computer memory chips were cheap and can be used to store the data worth of a CD. He used that memory chip for saving music in it. He conducted research in the formation of such type of devices that would use chips for playing music instead of using discs. But no one was interested in that idea and after disappointment he moved on.

After that disappointment he invented another invention which was a solution for joining wooden planks used in floors without nails or any adhesive. He named that solution as Click. He presented this solution to his father in law who was running a flooring factory but he didn’t turn his ear into his idea and turned down. He then went to some others manufacturers who also turned down that idea. But eventually in 1995, a Belgian and Swedish company decided to work on that solution and introduced that solution into market with the name Christian’s Click floor.

These were not only the inventions of his name. He also invented so many other things which are present today and written on his name on the pages of history.

At the age of 22 years, he launched his own cars manufacturing company with the name Koenigsegg Car Company. He created that company in order to achieve his dream of making an ultimate car. He made a sketch for layout of the car by himself. He made a team for working on this project and hired people on small wages. He also made the samples of the components of the car. In 1996, he completed the prototype for the car. After completing the initial work for making cars, his company started producing first series of cars in 2002.

In 2003, company caught into a fire, whole building was destroyed in the fire but the components of the cars were somehow saved.

Koenigsegg Agera is a multinational company of Sweden in the field of car manufacturing. This company produces and manufactures mid-engine sports cars. It was formed by Christian Agera who had a dream of making an ultimate car which he produced later through making this company. In 2010 his car was named as Hypercar of the Year by Top Gear Magazine.

The company progressed a lot and reached different countries of the world with the speed of a racing car. This was because of the specifications and features of the car provided by the company. In the early phase of development the cars of this company come with a 4.7 litre V8 engine with two vane turbos. It enhanced with the time and now it is way better than the engine of its developmental phase.
