Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)

What is Cisco Certified Design Professional? It is a credential mainly designed for network design engineers who intend to design, plan, create latest routing and addressing, data center and IP multicast multi-layered architectures. It mainly signals latest knowledge of network design concepts and principles.

CCDP’s Content: Concerning with CCDP, it includes virtual networking and wireless domains. It puts its focus on design components of larger networks. CCDP’s curriculum is mainly designed in terms of building internet works and multi-layered switched networks along with its designing.

Basic Requirements or Prerequisites: CCDP’s candidate has to be experienced in one of the following:

• Either a candidate has passed valid Cisco’s CCDA and CCNA Routing and Switching

OR

• Passed Cisco CCIE

Required Exams and Timing

• 642-902 (Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE V1.0) OR 300-101 ROUTE (ROUTE v2.0): Both exams time duration is 120 minutes along with 40-65 questions. Exam is mainly associated with CCNP and CCDP. It mainly assesses the knowledge and skills required in IP addressing and routing in implementing secure routers connected to LANs and WANs.

AND

• 642-813 (Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks (SWITCH) OR 300-115SWITCH (SWITCH v2.0):Both exams time duration is 120 minutes along with 35-45 questions for former exam and 45-65 questions for latter one. The exams are mainly associated with CCNP and CCDP. It mainly assesses the knowledge required to plan and configure the implementation of complicated switching solutions.
• 642-874 (Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture (ARCH) or ARCH v2.1. the exam’s time duration is 75 minutes along with 50-60 questions. Exam is mainly associated with CCDP that mainly evaluates the candidate’s knowledge of current development in network designing.

• For registration, Contact Pearson VUE online or call Pearson VUE at 1-8-777-404-EXAM as Pearson is a test delivery partner of Cisco.
• Gather personal information along with valid email address, desired certification and information prior to the registration.
• For exams cost, related information and rescheduling of exams.

Exam Dates and Cost: Both exams will be held on January 29, 2016. For 642-902 exam, it costs $200 USD OR Worldwide equivalent. 642-813 exam costs $200 USD and 642-874 costs $150 USD or worldwide equivalent.

Recertification Policy: Cisco professional certifications (CCDP, CCNP, CCSP…) are valid for three years only. Cisco’s recertification declares to pass one of the following right before the expiry date:

• Pass any existing 642-XXX Professional Level exam or any current 300-XXX professional exam.
• Pass current CCIE exam or CCDE written exam or CCDE practical exam
• Pass Cisco Certified Architect interview and Cisco Architect Board review.
