Difference between IPad and IPod

IPad and IPod both are products of Apple. Apple has large market shares all over the world. All the products of Apple are very costly and reliable. Before discussing the difference between IPad and IPod lets see their definitions.

IPad is a slim tablet computer with wide screen which is manufactured by Apple. It has multi-functional characteristics which give a desired meaning to its usage. It’s also called a magic and an advanced device according to apple.

IPod is an apple device which is mainly served to store music, videos and much more than that is coming up in a new technology. Now-a-days, iPod touch, IPod classic with slightly wide screen and built in microphones and speakers are heated up in market.

Size Variance: When differentiate between two devices, height matters a lot. IPad carries a size of approximately 4.122 inches.  IPad has broad screen and large in size.

When it comes to IPod, it looks mini in size as compared to IPad. IPod carries a size of 9.566 inches due to this reason it can easily portable

Weight Issue:

 Although they both are lighter in weight but their weight made a difference. So, normal IPads carries a weight of 0.6 to 0.7 kg. This sounds like so light weight.

When it comes to the size of IPods, They are just in grams. Mostly, IPods are of 140 grams.

Storing Capacity: 

Everyone wants to store a large amount of data in their devices like applications and a wide range of software’s. Storing capacity of IPad is limited. The storage capacity of IPad varies from 16GB to 64GB which is insufficient for storing large amount of applications.

 IPod carries up till 160 GB.  This is enough storage for storing videos, movies and audio files. And the capability of storage is much higher as compared to IPad.

Display: 

Interface and presentation plays a vital role in any evaluating any device. So, IPad has almost 9.7 inch wide screen gives black light with LED (light emitting diode). It has a multi touch display.  And IPad are of different types which includes IPad mini, IPad 4 and IPad Air.

IPod has a glossy and colored LCD and LED black light.

Portable: 

IPad is a wireless device which can be connected to any device like mouse, keyboard, microphone and speakers. It already has built in speakers. It does have built-in Wi-Fi models which gives a great access to internet.

IPod just have built.in speakers and IPod touch is one of the rare devices which have built-in functionality through which IPod can be connected to the internet.

Battery: When it comes to battery, it’s the most wanted task for everyone. IPad has built in battery that lasts till 10 hours almost.

Battery of IPod can last longer than IPad. It has the capacity to work 30 hours without charging.

Switch to Price: IPad as, mentioned above have enormous functions, built in connections, large size, and much more. In markets, it starting cost is $499. Price of IPad varies from size to size.

And then IPod which is smaller in size which is a multimedia factory full of music starts from $ 59 till $ 400.

Conclusion: Both these products belong to Apple which is co-founded by Steve Jobs. Depending upon the requirements both the devices have their own importance. When a portable device for installing software’s is needed IPad is given preference. On the other hand, if you want to store music and video files than IPod will be the best choice.
