GRE is not Hard GRE is Tricky

GRE is a test which is computerized and allows students to take it online. The major and sole purpose of the test is to examine candidates or the test takers for a standard level of knowledge. Standard knowledge means the knowledge they used to have at the college level and in the test they are supposed to use. Now, when a person goes through this test, confusion arises in the mind of the candidate as to whether either GRE is hard, or tricky. In this case, the GRE instructor says that ‘The GRE is not hard GRE is tricky’

• In this article, we all will know the overall method of the GRE as it is specified that the GRE is an O-level and matric-based test.
• It mainly includes comprehension, mathematics, probability, writing stuff, reading, algebra and many other topics which was been covered during that level.
• Why it is being offered because this is the base and every student is almost acknowledged of the facts.
• In this test, first of all, university-based content is used. That is why it is completely wrong to say that it is hard.

Why the basic knowledge?

• Now, it questions why the GRE chose to be the most initial level of knowledge, it is because the GRE wants everyone to use their knowledge.
• GRE tests everyone on the common ground level. Like if you have done 4 years of BS and you have a good skill in advanced Quantitative topics then you should go for that. Because of that, you have a good exposure to that topic.

How it’s not hard, but tricky?

• It’s simply not hard because it is more related to the school days; the content is completely an initial stage content which is almost associated and stuck in every being’s mind. But, according to the candidates, it is tricky why?
• Because it has difficult questions. But they don’t use their prior knowledge to solve those questions rather they just guess the correct one.

Focus on Reasoning, Not Memorization:

• The GRE is a kind of exam where the main focus is on reason not on memorizing.
• They will give you a scenario when you have to answer after critically thinking. This way they test how you think and solve problems.
• Passing this test means you have clear concepts of said subject.

• The Gre has a unique system that adapts as per your answers.
• If you correct frequently more and more difficult levels are given in the next question and if you are not able to correct the answer then the difficulty level is kept low to keep your confidence level at ace.

Running it of Time- A serious issue!

• It entirely depends upon a student’s how he or she manages time with a limited span of time.
• Most of the students do manage very easily on a serious note as they very well know the structure and basics of every question.
• GRE gives so many hard questions but with a limited period of time.
• A student has limited to think and a bundle of questions hover around his mind.
• This complicates a candidate’s mind with one question only. His mind gets stuck at one level only.

Only a basic Calculator- A pathetic situation!

• This is obviously a difficult level of a student’s test ad also his mind. And in this case, he really needs a scientific calculator to lead. But the availability is missing.
• It mainly increases the difficulty level of the students. Also, he will use his or her prior knowledge but a human mind cannot resolve mathematical questioning and it is factual.
• The major difficulty will arise at that time when questions will be requiring formulas and that basic calculator will seem like crap.
• For example, a student cannot find a square in points of any number. Lets say the question is to find out the square root of 6664432222. This would be difficult of course.
• This shows that the GRE is tricky but not hard. A student has to open up his mind and resolve the questions by using his intellect.

No spell Checker- A challenge!

• In the section on analytical writing, there is a need to type an essay.
• However, when we write an essay on a word application, it shows grammar and spell checker which makes a student more comfortable in writing an essay.
• AWA is allotted to stents on which a student can write his essay. It creates a kind of frustration in the reader’s mind this is what GRE looks into the candidates.
• It is of the purpose to find out the creativity and accuracy in the minds of the reader.

Last but not least it’s not hard but tricky. The thing which is required is to use your knowledge and transcend the world by using your prior knowledge.
