Griffith University Scholarships for National / International Students
Griffith University is offering scholarships for both domestic and international students. These scholarships are offered for those applicants who wish to pursue their PhD research study at Griffith University in Australia. The Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarships (GUPRS) are offered for national and Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (GUIPRS) are offered for international students, for PhD research study for up to 4 years. The aim of this scholarship is to provide financial help to national and international students.

The duration of PhD scholarship is up to four years
Scholarships Description / Details
For GUPRS
- Stipend is A$28,597 (2021 rate) per annum for up to four years
- This scholarship does not cover tuition fees.
For GUIPRS
- This scholarship cover tuition fees.
- It also covers Overseas Student Health cover (OSHC) for the applicant and dependent/s for the scholarship duration
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for these scholarships must meet the following criteria:
- Open for domestic and international candidates
- Not receiving income from another source that provides benefit greater than 75% of GUPRS stipend. The applicant’s income generated from unrelated research program is unaccountable.
- Not in receipt of an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth Government designed to offset research program tuition fees. For details refer to current GUIPRS conditions of award.
- Must be intending to enrol full-time in an doctoral program

Application must be submitted at least four months before preferred intake date. There are four intakes for this scholarship and each have different deadline which are:
