Biography of Gunupati Venkata Krishna Reddy
Early Life
Gunupati Venkata Krishna Reddy founder of GVK was born in a village named Kothur in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh, India on 22nd March, 1937. He completed his early education from the local schools of his village Kothur. After completing his school education he went to Nellore for his college studies and after that he got admission in Osmania University of Hyderabad for pursuing his graduation.
Early Career
He started his business carrier from the construction company owned by his family. His father allowed him to work in the construction company and he got the control of that company.
Founder of GVK
He founded a conglomerate company with the name of his initials GVK which was started in Hyderabad, India. This company was later on involved in the formation of first ever power plant of India which worked independently. That plant was set up in Andhra Pradesh in 1997.
GVK
GVK is a conglomerate of India. There are different businesses which are included in this conglomerate. These various businesses are like sectors involving Energy, Airports, Resources, Hospitality and Life Sciences etc. The investment of this company mounted up to 24,000 crore Indian Rupees and 4.3 billion US Dollars. This is also involved in an ongoing project of pipeline which is to be constructed in India. This project has the worth of 36,000 crore Indian Rupees and $6.6 US Dollars.
This is the company which was set up by Gunapati Venkata Krishna and this company introduced first ever independent power plant with in the country.
Later Life
Throughout his business carrier he acquired so many different companies and expanded his business. For his contribution in business field he also won so many civil awards of India. He is currently leading his group as in past.
