Biography of Jamnalal Bajaj

Early Life

Jamnalal Bajaj founder of Bajaj Auto Limited was born on 4^th November 1884 in a small village of Rajasthan of India named KashiKa Bas, Sikar. He belonged to a very poor family of Marwaris (A caste of India). His parents gave him to a rich couple Seth Bachhraj and Sadibai as a grandson and they adopted him. The person who adapted him was a rich merchant.

Business Field

His studies remained neglected while he got involvement into the trading and merchandizing business of Seth Bachhraj. He got guidance from his grandfather and got the necessary knowledge of trading business.

Founder of Bajaj Group of Industries

After getting the knowledge of trading from his grandfather he did business for several years and during those years his grandfather died. After the death of his grandfather he went on to establish a business conglomerate in 1926 which was named as the Bajaj Group of Industries.

Founder of Bajaj Auto Limited

After successful start of a conglomerate he diversified his business in many ways. He opened many subsidiaries of that conglomerate and from them one was Bajaj Auto Limited. He founded that on 29^th November 1945 as a trading company but later on engaged in manufacturing of two and three wheelers after getting license from Indian Government.

Bajaj Auto Limited

Bajaj Auto Limited is a subsidiary company of parent Bajaj Group of Industries. This company is involved in the manufacturing of two and three wheelers which are being sold under the name of Bajaj.

Later Years

He remained a well-known industrialist and politician throughout his life. In his life he did so many works of charity and helped poor people from his wealth.

Death

He died on 11^th February, 1942 after serving humanity.
