Lebesgue Centre Scholarships 2025

The Lebesgue Center is offering scholarships to outstanding overseas students. These scholarships are offered for Masters programs in mathematics at  Le Mans University ,  the University of Bretagne Sud, the University of Rennes, the University of Bretagne Ouest,  the University of Angers, the University of Nantes, and the ÉNS Rennes in France. The Lebesgue Master Scholarship is given to students with outstanding academic records.

Henri Lebesgue Center provides comprehensive instruction in both basic and applied mathematics. Every year, a vast array of courses spanning a wide range of contemporary mathematics are provided, along with a wealth of complementary courses.
The Henri Lebesgue Center, in partnership with Ambition Lebesgue Loire and the Fondation de Rennes 1, gives out excellence awards for paths in fundamental and applied mathematics.

The 2025–2026 Master 1 scholarships will only be awarded to female applicants. An M2 scholarship may be offered in addition to the M1 scholarships. The Lebesgue Master scholarship of 10,000 euros per year is offered to mathematics students enrolled in the first or second year (M1 or M2) of our Masters program, fundamental and applied Mathematics paths.

Duration of Scholarship

The Lebesgue awards are offered in Mathematics for 2 years for master study.

Scholarship Description / Details

• 10,000 Euros stipend in university scholarships to study in France during the academic year, which runs from September 1 to August 31.
• The scholarship will be paid out every month between September and June. Unless internship gratification is paid for by the lab, it is included in the scholarship.
• For additional information, students should speak with the admission office and their tutors.
• The 2025–2026 Master 1 scholarships will only be awarded to female applicants.
• An M2 scholarship may be offered in addition to the M1 scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

In to be eligible for Lebesgue Centre Scholarship, you must fill following requirements:

• Applicants must enroll with an excellent academic background
• M1 scholarships are available to overseas students with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or equivalent.
• Master students in their first year can apply for a second-year scholarship.
• M2 scholarships are available to overseas applicants who have completed their first year of master’s degree in mathematics.
• The Master’s second-year course may be taught in English.
• The Lebesgue Master Scholarship is awarded to students enrolling in the second year of either the Nantes-Angers-Vannes or Rennes-Brest master’s programs in fundamental and applied mathematics.
• The academic caliber of the recommendation letters, motivation, and transcripts will all be taken into consideration during the selection process.
• M2 scholarships are open to any students who have completed the first year of a master’s degree in mathematics by the conclusion of the current academic year.
• Applying for a Lebesgue scholarship is separate from applying to enroll in a master’s program.
• The specialized websites specify the terms and conditions for the latter.

How to Apply / Download Scholarship Form / Documents Required

Masters 1 Applicant

• Apply for M1 scholarship
• Students must complete following form in order to be considered for an Ambition Lebesgue Loire M1 scholarship. To validate the form, click the “submit” button at the bottom of the page.
• An automated email confirmation will be sent to you.

Masters 2 Applicant

• Apply for M2 scholarship
• Students must complete the following form in order to apply for a Lebesgue Master scholarship. After you click the “submit” button, the form will be validated, and you will automatically receive a confirmation email.
• Two references are required.
• A student visa application must be completed online by applicants from specific nations. For further information, please visit the Campus France website.
• Students interested in the Etudes en France procedure must complete their own application in addition to the one available on the Lebesgue website. Both processes are required.
• Please visit the Campus France website right away because there are various steps that need to be completed by January 31st, 2025.
