Sciences Po Paris Scholarships 2025

Sciences Po established the Emile Boutmy Awards after its founder in order to identify the best international students (non-EU). The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to the brightest international students from outside the European Union. These scholarships are available to individuals who desire to study their Bachelor’s and Master’s programs at Sciences Po University in France. The Boutmy/MIEM Scholarship will provide scholarships for outstanding international bachelor’s and master’s degree students.

Duration of Scholarship

The Bachelor’s degree lasts three years, whereas the Masters program lasts two years.

Scholarship Description / Details

Sciences Po scholarships provide various grants for applicants, including the following grants:
Undergraduate program offers a

  • Tuition grant of €3,900 per year for three years.
  • Tuition grants of €14,720 or €9,500 each year.
  • A tuition grant of €6,500 each year for three years of undergraduate studies.
  • Exceptionally, a scholarship of 19,000€ may be offered for three years of college.

Masters Program:

A €13,100 annual stipend to cover tuition fees for two years of Master’s study.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be:

  • First-time applicants from non-EU nations whose households do not file taxes in the EU.
  • Candidates must have good academic credentials and a profile that aligns with their chosen course.
  • Applicants must have admit in bachelors and masters degree program
  • Applicants’ financial status are considered when evaluating their applications.
  • Candidates from Switzerland and Norway are not eligible as they may be eligible for CROUS scholarships.
  • Candidates with dual citizenship, including from European Union countries.
  • Quebec candidates seeking master’s degrees can benefit from the same sliding scale fees as applicants from Europe. Quebec residents are eligible to apply for bachelor’s degrees.
  • Applicants to the Master of Journalism and Joint Master of Journalism and International Affairs programs.
    Candidates with dual degrees. Only applicants for the dual degrees listed below are eligible:
    Holds a dual degree in journalism from Sciences Po and Columbia University.
    Applicants with Chinese nationality can pursue a dual degree at Sciences Po/Fudan University with a focus on Europe-Asia and Global Affairs.
  • Applicants with Chinese nationality can pursue a dual degree at Sciences Po and Peking University.
  • D. thesis students
  • Master’s degree applicants (one year)
  • Candidates having a bachelor’s dual degree (unless agreed upon)
  • Students in exchange programs.
  • Applicants pursuing graduate admissions in France.
  • The Émile Boutmy scholarship cannot be combined with other awards (e.g. Eiffel, AEFE, BGF) unless in exceptional circumstances recognized by the jury.

How to Apply / Download Scholarship Form / Documents Required

The candidates who want to apply for scholarship follow following steps:

  • Visit this link to fill out the online application form.
  • To apply for the Émile Boutmy Scholarship, select it in the “Financial Information” section of your Sciences Po application and provide all required information.
  • There is no need to submit a second application through Campus France because Sciences Po is not included in the “Études en France” process.
  • To apply for these scholarships, candidates must indicate this on the application form:
  • Provide proof of income and relevant family documents (e.g., income tax returns for both parents, salary stubs, divorce certificate, unemployment benefits, alimony, child support, retirement pensions, death certificate).

Criteria for Selection

The Émile Boutmy Scholarships are given out in accordance with the applicant’s profile and academic standing. Financial demands may occasionally be taken into account while evaluating a candidate’s financial status

Deadline for undergraduate programme (applicants from international secondary schools): March 4, 2025.
• The deadline for the undergraduate program (applicants from French secondary schools) is to be confirmed.

  • The deadline for the master program is December 1, 2025.
    No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
