SEARCA Commission Scholarships for Southeast Asian Students
The SEARCA stands for “Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture”. SEARCA Commission is offering scholarships for Southeast Asian students in different study posts (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines). These scholarships are for those students who want to pursue their MS and Ph.D. degree studies. These scholarships are focusing on highly talented and intellectual students from Southeast Asian countries in order to provide them proper opportunities to complete their studies in well ranked universities. This scholarship program was introduced in the year 1968- 69. Over the decades the extent of the graduate study program has expanded to incorporate networking, institutional development, and services to increase graduate education in the region. Under the sponsorship of institutions other than SEAMEO, SEARCA has also been supplying services for scholarship funds administration.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered for the SEARCA Commission Scholarships for Southeast Asian Students, applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Open to nationals of SEAMEO member countries who are regular employees of academic or research institutions or government agencies;
- Must not be more than 40 (Master’s Degree) or 45 (PhD) years of age at the time of application;
- Areas of specialization that scholarship applicants must pursue should be in agriculture or related sciences. Check the joint scholarship programs to determine the specific degree/s eligible for support.
- Proposed thesis research should focus on SEARCA’s overarching theme of Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural Innovation (ATTAIN) with the following priority areas:
- Agri-Business Models for Increased Productivity and Income
- Sustainable Farming Systems and Natural Resource Management
- Food and Nutrition Security
- Transformational Leadership for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARD)
- Gender and Youth Engagement in ARD
- Enhanced ARD towards Climate Resilience
- EcoHealth/One Health Applications to ARD

Applicants can apply for this scholarship, must follow some steps:
- Complete the SEARCA Scholarship Application Form.
- Applicants must complete their admission form along with all necessary documents.
- Fill the application form online and attach or upload a copy of the required documents.

- Submit the printout of the accomplished online application along with the original or certified true copies of required uploaded documents to the ministry of education or higher education of the applicant’s own country.
