Biography of Sergey Brin

Early Life

Sergey Brin founder of Google was born in Moscow, Soviet Union in the year of 1973 on 21 August. His family migrated to United States of America when he was just six years of age. His father Michael Brin was a mathematics professor while his mother Eugenia Brin was a researcher at NASA center. After their migration to USA, Sergey Brin started his early education in America. He attended Paint Branch Montessori School in Maryland but after that he got his further education at home. After his early education, he was enrolled in University of Maryland and earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics and computer science.

Interest in Computer Science

His interest was developed in computer science, when he attended a seminar about computer in upcoming days and its influences. He then decided to promote his career further in computer science. For this purpose, he joined Stanford University in order to study for computer science. He was enrolled in PhD program of computer science. He was working for computer programming from many years before the foundation of Google Inc.

Co founder of Google Inc

Sergey Brin is widely credited as the co founder of Google Inc. with Larry Page. During his studies of PhD in Stanford University, he met with Larry page in a meeting of new students of PhD in Stanford University. Both of them had the same interests and this thing led them to become good friends. They filled up their research laboratory with old computers and tried to develop a search engine. Their work became very famous within the premises of their university that is why they deferred their studies and started their work in an old garage. As a result, they founded the Google Inc.

www.google.com is a search engine based website with number of other functions also. Google Inc manages other basic computer tools e.g. software, email server, BlogSpot and ad support. A large number of Google Inc. shares basis on ad support by Google. Google.com is ranked as the world top website with most number of visitors every day.

Present Situation

Sergey Brin remained the co-president with Larry pages of Google Inc. till 2001 but after the Larry’s appointment as CEO of the company, he is president of the Google Inc. He is considered as very wealthy man as he has a personal wealth estimated to be about 25 Billion dollars. Both of these guys have almost 16% shares in Google Inc.
