Taiwan Government ICDF’s is offering scholarships for international candidates. These scholarships are offered for those applicants, who want to pursue their undergraduate, graduate and PhD degree program in the Taiwan universities. These universities are participating in this program: National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), National Chengchi University (NCCU), National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), National Yang-Ming University (NYMU), National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), National Central University (NCU), Kun Shan University (KSU), National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Yuan Ze University (YZU), National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS), National Taiwan University (NTU), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Ming Chuan University (MCU), Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), Taipei Medical University (TMU), Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), National Chung Cheng University (CCU), I-Shou University (ISU) and National Dong Hwa University (NDHU).

Scholarships Description / Details
Taiwan ICDF’s Scholarships provides benefits:
- Airfare: The Taiwan ICDF arranges economy class, return tickets for the most-direct flights to and from Taiwan
- Housing
- Tuition fees
- Credit fees
- Insurance
- Textbook costs
- Allowance: Students receive money for food and miscellaneous living expenses. This is deposited into a student’s local bank account on a monthly basis
- Undergraduate Program: Each student receives NT$12,000 per month
- Master Program: Each student receives NT$15,000 per month
- PhD Program: Each student receives NT$17,000 per month

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a citizen of a country on the List of Eligible Countries for Taiwan ICDF Scholarship
- Neither be a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) nor an overseas compatriot student
- Satisfy the admission requirements of the partner university to which he or she has applied to study under a Taiwan ICDF scholarship
- Must be able to satisfy all requirements for a Resident Visa (Code: FS) set by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) set by the Ministry of the Interior, of the ROC (Taiwan) government
- Not be applying for a further Taiwan ICDF scholarship
- Have never had any scholarship revoked by any ROC (Taiwan) government agency or related institution, nor been expelled from any Taiwanese university
How to Apply / Download Scholarships Form / Documents Required
- The mode of the application is online application
- Applicants must submit these following documents:
- A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other document showing proof of nationality
- A photocopy of applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts
- A photocopy of applicant’s English proficiency certificate
- A Taiwan ICDF Medical Report
- Two letters of reference
- Any other documents specifically requested by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative

(Q)What should I do if my printed form has some mistakes?
(A)You can apply again but be careful in typing. Now, you need your final, corrected forms to ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate General/ Representative Office for first interview. Your printed form must have same information/ details as you have saved in the online one, because for interview ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate General/ Representative Office must refer to both versions.
(Q)Is there any allowance given to the successful students?
(A) Yes. Each student of undergraduate program receives12,000 per month, master’s student receives NT$ 15,000 per month and a student of Ph.D. program receives NT$ 17,000 per month as an allowance for food and miscellaneous living purposes.
