(A) The aim of this scholarship program is to give opportunities to minorities by providing the essential tools and resources entering the fields of advertising, marketing, and public relations which are not commonly given to many minorities. The goal of this scholarship program is to increase the number of ethnic minorities like African American/ Black, Alaska Native/ Native American, Asian American/ Pacific Islander, and Hispanic/ Latino undergraduate and graduate students by providing scholarships, career and professional development workshops, mentors and internships in fields of advertising, marketing, and public relations.

(A) Approximately 50 scholarships are offered annually.
Undergraduate: 30 scholarships will be offered to ethnic minority students.
Graduate: 20 scholarships will be offered to graduate students.

(Q) Is it a fully funded scholarship program?
(A) Yes, it covers the following expenses:
- Scholarship Amount
- Undergraduate students will receive $2,500 each.
- Graduate students will receive an amount of $3,750 each.
- Selected applicants will also get an opportunity to visit Cincinnati, Ohio to participate in career building activities.
- Applicants will get a chance to meet industry professionals to boost their knowledge.

(A) Only for U.S citizens or permanent residents of the USA belonging to minorities (African American/ Black, Alaska Native/ Native American, Asian American/ Pacific Islander, and Hispanic/ Latino undergraduate (current freshman, sophomores, juniors, and non- graduating seniors) and graduate students).

(A) Yes

(A) For the following fields of study

- Public Relations.
(Q) What is the eligibility criteria for this scholarship program?
(A) Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Only US citizens, permanent residents, or recipients of DACA are eligible to apply.
- Applicant must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native.
- Applicants must be enrolled at a four-year accredited institution within the US.
- Applicants should major in a field of study that has significance in advertising, marketing, or public relations.
- Applicants should have a minimum of one year (or two academic semesters) to complete their degree from the time scholarships are awarded in May 2021.
- Applicants should be present to take part in the scholarship activities from May 16 to 19, 2021. If they are selected then they should attend The LAGRANT Foundation’s scholarship activities to receive the scholarship. The grantee should dedicate one year to maintain contact with TLF to receive academic help and professional advice.
For Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must be carrying 12 units or more per semester.
- Having a minimum of 0 GPA
For Graduate Applicants:
- Must be carrying 12 units or more per semester.
- Having a 3.0 GPA.
(Q) Which documents are required for applying for scholarship along with application?
(A) The following are the required documents:
- A reference letter.
- Current resume.
- An Unofficial (copy) transcripts from your college/university.
- A Headshot photo of the applicant.
- Application form.
- A one to two-page essay outlining your career.
- All required documents must be combined and saved into one PDF file.
(Note: Application forms without the required documents will not be considered).
Applicants will get extra 10 points if they submit complete applications on or before the deadline.
(Q) What if an applicant submits only their application form and not the documents?
(A) Then application will not be considered
(Q) What should an incoming freshman or transfer student for fall should do about unofficial transcripts?
(A) An acceptance letter from the applicant’s college or university may be used
(Q) What if the applicant’s GPA does not accurately reflect their scholastic capability and achievement?
(A) In that case, the applicant can draft an essay (optional) no longer than one page explaining the discrepancy.
