(A) The duration of the scholarship is one academic year, but it renews it for 2nd year.

(Q) Who can apply for this scholarship program?
(A) International students. These scholarships are offered to those scholars who intend to undertake individual research or pursue advanced studies for one year from an assigned supervisor in China.

(A) It is a merit based scholarship program.

(A) Scholarships are awarded in the fields of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the selected Chinese universities.
(Q) What is the eligibility criteria for this scholarship program?
(A) To be eligible for these scholarships, you must fulfill the following conditions:
- Applicants must be under the age of 45 years and have completed at least two years of undergraduate study
- For postgraduate scholarships must have a master’s degree or an associate professor and under the age of 50
- Must have English language proficiency
- Be in good health, both mentally and physically.

(A) Then their application will not be considered and will be cancelled.

(A) An applicant may apply for other scholarship programs but cannot hold two scholarships at the same time.

(A) Total seventy five (75) scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate levels study. Out of which twenty five (25) scholarships are especially for candidatures from the Teacher Training Institutions which is supported by UNESCO-CFIT Project in the 10 African countries to pursue an Advanced Training Program for Education Administrators and Teacher Educators at East China Normal University.

(Q) What is the procedure of this scholarship program?
(A) First of all, get in touch with the National Commission for UNESCO of your country to request information about the application procedures at the national level. Then according to the requirements advised in ANNEX II, arrange your application documents in English or Chinese language. After that submit your application to the National Commission for UNESCO of your country. When you are informed that you are nominated as a candidate for this programme by the National Commission for UNESCO of your country, you should complete the online application and also submit all the supporting documents on the online application system of the China Scholarship Council. After that copies of China Scholarship Council online Application Forms, letters of nomination, and photocopies of valid ordinary passports should be submitted by UNESCO by National Commissions by 25 March 2020.
(Q) Which language is preferable?
(A) Most of the study programs will be conducted in English, but in some cases, candidates may be required to learn the Chinese language before studying in their fields of interest or taking up research.
(Q) Before starting an application, who should an applicant contact and why?
(A) Applicants must contact the National Commission for UNESCO of their country before starting their application because of UNESCO’s intergovernmental character and to understand the specific process of selection in an applicant’s countries.
(Q) When applying for the scholarship program, does a candidate need to submit a language certificate?
(A) Yes.
(Q) Can a candidate apply for this scholarship program if he/ she doesn’t have the pre-admission letter from a Chinese university?
(A) Yes.
