UNISA Scholarships 2025

University of Salerno is offering UNISA Scholarships for international students all over the worlds. These UNISA Scholarships are offered for those applicants who wish to enroll in the master degree at the University of Salerno in Italy. Italian Language Course is also available for all the grant holders under this scheme. For this scholarship applicants must obtained a bachelor’s degree abroad.

Duration of Scholarships

UNISA Scholarships are available for 2 years master degree

For the academic year 2025/2026, the following countries or geographical areas are defined as priorities:

Graduates of UNIMED Associated Universities (10 places);

  • Africa (10 places);
  • Argentina (5 places);
  • Colombia (5 places);
  • Middle East (5 places);
  • Ukraine (5 places);
  • Vietnam (5 places);
  • other countries or geographical areas (5 places).

Scholarships Description / Details

Selected candidates, duly enrolled in Master’s degree courses, will be entitled to a scholarship worth a total of €6,100 per year, divided into three parts:

  1. A grant of € 1,590, paid in three instalments: the first instalment will be paid within 45 days of arrival, the second instalment will be paid at the end of the first semester, and the third instalment by 31 July;
  2. A free Italian language course at an appropriate level;
  3. Services such as board and lodging, to be used at the canteen and university residences for the entire first year of the study course.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered eligible for the UNISA Scholarships, candidates must follow the below requirements:

  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with excellent academic grades
  • Only international students are eligible
  • The academic and linguistic assessment for the purposes of candidate eligibility is left to the relevant teaching councils, which will assign a score between 0 and 60.
  • In addition, the didactic councils will plan, for eligible candidates only, an interview aimed at verifying the academic and linguistic skills required for enrolment in the Master’s degree course, which will be assessed on a scale of 0 to 40.
  • The minimum score for the candidate’s eligibility is at least 35 for the career assessment and at least 25 for the interview.
  • Candidates who do not reach the minimum score in either or both assessments will be excluded from the competition procedure.
  • At the application stage, the presentation of a language proficiency certificate corresponding to the level required for the chosen Master’s degree course is an advantage.
  • It is also required that the interview be conducted in the language required for the degree course

Final selection

  • The final selection of eligible candidates, who meet the linguistic requirements set out in the call for applications, is entrusted to a Selection Committee to be appointed by decree of the Rector.
  • The Commission will operate in order to ensure a fair distribution over each department and to promote the international dimension of studies and research. The results of the selection will be made public by 31 May 2025.
  • Students selected for the scholarship will begin attending university and language courses from the first semester of the A.Y. 2025/26, on the dates made public through the University website.

  • Attach Curriculum Vitae with the application
  • Must attach other relevant document:
  • Degree certificate with the transcript of records of the degree course that the applicant intends to submit for admission to the selected course of study. This certificate must be accompanied by an Italian or English translation (an official translation recognized by the embassy is not required at this stage)
  • Complete list of official descriptions of relevant courses completed
  • Two letters of reference: one from the thesis supervisor and another from a university professor. These letters should outline the main objectives achieved in the thesis and study programme, respectively, also providing contact information for verification purposes
  • A declaration of commitment to promptly renounce the scholarship awarded through this call for applications in the event that the candidate is the beneficiary of the MAECI (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) scholarship grant, as set out in article 8 of the call for applications due to the incompatibility between the two scholarships. The following may optionally be attached to the application form.
  • Certificate of degree with document of examinations of any other higher qualifications accompanied by a translation into Italian or English (an official translation recognized by the Embassy is not required at this stage)
  • List of all relevant work experience providing evidence of training relevant to the selected international study programme
  • Certificates of language proficiency such as proficiency in English at B2/C1 level, or proficiency in Italian at A2/B1 level or higher
  • GRE/GMAT certificate with relative score.
