University of Canterbury (UC) Scholarships 2021
University of Canterbury (UC) is offering International First Year Scholarships for international students (except New Zealand and Australian students). UC International First Year Scholarship recognizes and supports top-achieving international students who are undertaking their undergraduate degree program at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Any course is available for Bachelors Degree Program offered at the Canterbury University
Other latest Scholarships in New Zealand are also offered for different degrees and subjects all over the New Zealand.
Numbers of Scholarships
Up to twenty-five (25) scholarships may be awarded this year
Duration of Scholarships
The UC International First Year Scholarship is tenable for up to one year
Scholarships Description / Details
The scholarship is currently awarded with values of $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000 for international students
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for scholarship, applicant must:
- Candidates must be full-fee-paying international students
- Applicants may not be citizens of New Zealand or Australia, or holders of New Zealand residence class visas
- Applicants must be completing, or have completed a university entrance-level qualification
- Those applicants are also eligible who are undertaking, or have completed, a program at the UC International College
- Not eligible who have already undertaken partial study in an undergraduate degree program at a New Zealand tertiary institution
- OR
- Have applied for Transfer of Credit from a New Zealand tertiary institution to an undergraduate degree program at UC
How to Apply / Download Scholarships Form / Documents Required
- Candidates may apply through the official site approximately 8 weeks before applications close
- OR
- Download the application form from main site
- Provides these details if required:
- Proof of citizenship or residency status (e.g. birth certificate, passport)
- Evidence of community involvement, financial hardship or ethnic background
- Letter of approval from your school or university
- List of referees
- Transcripts or records of learning
- Bank details and IRD number
