University of Tasmania (UTAS) is calling international students for Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS) in undergraduate and postgraduate course work in Australia with 25% tuition fees reduction. There are the following courses that offer the TIS for outstanding foreign students

International students may apply for the fully funded University of Tasmania Scholarship 2025-2026. Scholarships are provided competitively based on academic standing, employment history, prior schooling, and other relevant achievements. New applications for strategic research fields are given priority.

Scholarship Description / Details

The Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS) offers a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees (satisfactory grades to be maintained) for undergraduate students.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS), candidates must complete the following requirements:

  • TIS scholarships are open only for international students
  • Applicants must complete Higher Secondary School certificate for undergraduate study and pass 14 years education or equivalent qualification for postgraduate course work study
  • Have outstanding grades in overall academic record
  • This award is only accessible to newly enrolled students.
  • International Scholarships will not appraise current students based on their academic performance at UTAS.

Note: If an international student applies for an undergraduate degree and submits an International Student Application, our Admissions Team will automatically evaluate them for the TIS Scholarship it does not including the AMC Seafaring courses, Bachelor of Dementia Care, and Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine.

How to Apply / Download Scholarship Form / Documents Required

  • Students are automatically assessed after submitting the International Student Online Application.
  • There is no need to apply individually for TIS rewards.
  • Applicants must attach supporting documents with the application:
  • Evidence of an IELTS or TOEFL test
  • Academic Certificates
  • Statement of purpose

Note : Once the final results are submitted, offer letters will inform the applicants of their scholarship status. The terms and conditions of the scholarship are included in the offer that successful TIS grantees will receive; they must carefully examine these specifics. Note that only incoming students are eligible for this scholarship. Current students will not be reevaluated for International Scholarships based on how well they are doing academically at the University of Tasmania.

Selection criteria:

  • Scholarship recipients are chosen based on their academic achievement in secondary, certificate, and degree-level coursework.
  • All semester intake applications are examined based on the applicant’s highest level qualification prior to the start of their selected study program (minimum one-year duration) to determine eligibility for this grant.
  • It should be noted that grading methods and requirements can differ greatly between nations.
