Early Life
Vasily Vasilievich Andreyev inventor of Balalaika is widely credited as the inventor of this thing. He was from Russian descent and he was born in the year of 1861 on January 15th in Bezhetsk which is located in Tver Governorate in the Russian Federation. His family was from an honorary descent pattern and was holder of much respect within the region. He was just one year of age when he faced the death of his father. Soon after the death of his father, his family moved to Saint Petersburg. The reason of their migration to the above mentioned city was that his mother was going to marry another person.
Interest in Folk Music
As he was very young at the time of his mother’s second marriage so his step father named as Nil Seslavin brought him up. He was not initially educated due to some family problems but soon after his settlement in new house, he showed his interest in music and other such activities. He was interested in folk music and in this regard, he leant almost all of the instruments which are used to play the folk music.
Interests and Career
As mentioned above, he was just 10 years of age when he started to learn the folk music instruments. Soon after that, he started to study the violin and after learning it, he started his professional career in the field. He used to play music and started working as a musician. His places of work were as different salon caterings and the European tourists in the capital of Russia. He became very famous as a musician in just some years and people started to consider him a great musician. In many events and at many times, he was asked to perform his personal musical acts and to show the traditional musical exhibition of the Russia.
Inventor of Balalaika
Vasily Andreyev is considered as the inventor of Balalaika and he is widely credit as his some of the inventions for the field of music. It is considered as a musical instrument which is normally used in Russian music. It is triangular in shape and has strings on it. The strings are three in number.
Balalaika
This instrument comes in many sizes and in many shapes but the most famous and prominent shape is as just mentioned. There are different categories and types of Balalaika which can be said as: alto balalaika, bass balalaika, prima balalaika and many other such kinds of balalaikas. The left thumb is used to hit the lowest string and in order to create a musical sound and this way is mostly used in Pima balalaika. The chords are made from it simply the thing can be said that Balalaika is the base of Russian folk music.
Death
He died in year of 1918 in the age of 57 years as a famous musician.
