Yayasan Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Scholarships 2017

Yayasan Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) is offering scholarships for national students. It is a foundation established by KLK, which offers scholarships to high-achieving students who are studying or have gained admission at any Malaysian private or public institutions of higher learning. This foundation sometimes also offers the opportunity for students to work in KLK or its business units after graduation. Academic performance of students is closely monitored and students are given practical training in groups. The goal of this training is to enhance the skills of students and to polish leadership qualities. The scholarship is about providing opportunities, giving students a chance to have the higher education necessary to become future leaders. In addition to having a degree, some skills are also required for seeking employment, so it also helps students to gain these social skills.

The scholarship is open to all students who have gained admission in public or private universities pursuing Bachelor Degree in the following fields of study

  • Agricultural Sciences or related disciplines
  • Sciences
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

Scholarship Description / Details

This award provides many grants for the applicants, some of these include:

  • RM 8,500 per academic year for Public Institutions
  • RM15,000 per academic year for Private Institutions

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for this award, candidates must be:

  • Malaysian student
  • Active participant in co-curricular activities
  • Has personality and leadership qualities
  • No other sibling currently receiving scholarship from YTN
  • Admission in first semester must be confirmed at the time of application.
  • Passed STPM minimum 2As / Foundation-CGPA of 3.5 and above.
  • Good command over English.
  • Must have a confirmed admission in institutions of higher learning.
  • Is not receiving Scholarship from any other organization.

Scholarships Bond

Individual is willing to commit to work on completion of studies for at least three years at any location within the Group.

Applicants can apply for this scholarship, must follow some steps:

  • Application form can be downloaded from http://www.klk.com.my/scholarships/klk-scholarships.
  • After filling the required form and admission letter from university, the application must be submitted on below mentioned address.
  • Incomplete or applications received after due date will not be accepted.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
