Zhengzhou University President is offering scholarships for non-Chinese excellent international students all over the world. These scholarships are offered for those applicants, who want Doctoral study at the Zhengzhou University in China.

Duration of Scholarship

Standard duration of Doctor Degree, i.e. 4 years

 Scholarship Description / Details

  • Monthly stipend is CNY 3,500.
  • This scholarship covers full tuition fee.
  • For accommodation purposes, CNY 1000/month would be paid to each scholar.

Not include: Registration fee, textbooks, thesis defense, medical check-up, medical insurance, medical clinics, residence permit and other expenses

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open for Non-Chinese citizen
  • Good in physically health, without crime record;
  • Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China as well as regulations of ZZU
  • Good learning attitude with strong academic foundation
  • Applicants must not be a registered PhD student in Chinese universities at the time of application.
  • Hold a master’s degree or higher degree or equivalent degree, and aged less than 40 years old for doctoral study
  • Excellent academic record at masters level
  • HSK 5 scored 210 in Chinse
  • English language proficiency scored 6.5 (IELTS) or higher if from non-English speaking countries.

How to Apply / Download Scholarship Form / Documents Required

Following supporting documents:

  • Original or notarized copies of degrees, certificates and complete transcripts of both undergraduate and postgraduate studies
  • CV and passport (validity for at least one more year)
  • Research plans (min 2000 words)
  • Two letters of recommendation (must have their contact email and phone number)
  • Officially recognized Chinese level or English level certificates or equivalent language competence certificates
  • Original or notarized copies of Foreigner Physical Examination with blood reports in Chinese or English.
  • Original or notarized copies of certificates of no criminal record
  • Score report of HSK, TOEFL, IELTS or other language proficiency tests
  • List of publications
  • Documentary evidence of academic awards and
  • Professional qualifications, and summary of relevant experience.
