Scholarship Description / Details

NDIAS Graduate Scholarships provide:

  • Scholarship value up to a maximum of $25,000 (gross amount)
  • Include a $1,000 research account in that value ($25,000)
  • Office facilities in the Institute
  • A computer and printer
  • Access to University libraries and other facilities
  • Twice-weekly Institute seminars and other events

Eligibility Criteria

The Institute seeks applicants with following conditions:

  • Applicants enroll in the arts, engineering, the humanities, law, and the formal, natural, and social sciences with projects that are creative, innovative, or align with the intellectual orientation
  • Have excellent records of scholarly, artistic, or research accomplishment
  • Projects that touch on normative, integrative, or ultimate questions, especially as they engage the Catholic intellectual tradition
  • Projects characterized by clarity of thought, coherence, and impact
  • The ability to interact with other fellows and to engage in collegial discussions of research presentations
  • A willingness to contribute to a cooperative community of scholars

  • Online application for Graduate Student scholarships at the NDIAS
  • All required following documents and application must be submitted in English:
  • Completed online application form
  • Current curriculum vitae (max 4 pages)
  • Proposal abstract (max 400 words)
  • Research proposal (Max six pages with double-spaced)
  • Proposal bibliography (two pages)
  • Cover letter (optional)
  • Three letters of reference
