Scholarship Description / Details

Merit Scholarships:

  • Outstanding Scholar Award (Up to $60, 000): The value is $15,000 per year for up to four years
  • Dean’s Recognition Scholarship (Up to $44,000): Amount is $11,000 per year for up to four years
  • Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships (Up to $40,000): Value is $10,000 per year for up to four years
  • International Ambassador Award (Up to $28,000): $7,000 per year for up to four years
  • ELS Ambassador Award (Up to $ 20,000): $5,000 per year

Competitive Scholarships:

Chancellor’s Scholarship (Up to $ 76,000) provides benefits:

  • $19,000 per year for up to four years
  • A $2,500 stipend for a study abroad experience
  • A $2,500 stipend to help pay for residence on campus their freshman year
  • Direct Admission into the Honors College

Plater International Scholars Program (Up to $108,000) benefits:

  • $27,000 per year for up to four years
  • A $2,500 stipend for a study abroad experience
  • A $2,500 stipend to help pay for residence in International House their freshman year
  • Direct Admission into the Honors College

Eligibility Criteria

Merit Scholarships eligible criteria:

Outstanding Scholar Award

  • Have a minimum high school or secondary school GPA of 3.75/4.0
  • Have one of the following minimum test scores:
  • SAT (Native English Speakers): 1250 or 1320 on the Math and Critical Reading sections
  • SAT (Non-Native English Speakers): 650 or 670 on Math section or 1250/1320 on the Math and Critical Reading sections
  • ACT composite score of 28

Dean’s Recognition Scholarship

  • Must have a minimum high school or secondary school GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 scale
  • Have one of the following minimum test scores:
  • SAT (Native English Speakers): 1200 on the Math and Critical Reading sections
  • SAT (Non-Native English Speakers): 600 on Math section or 1200 on the Math and Critical Reading sections
  • ACT composite score of 26

Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships

  • Applicants must ranked first or second in high school or secondary school class

International Ambassador Award

  • A minimum high school or secondary school GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Have one of the following minimum scores:
  • TOEFL iBT score of 80
  • IELTS score of 6.5
  • O-Level and equivalents A-B in English Language
  • PIE Level 7
  • SAT (Critical Reading) score of 500
  • SAT (Reading) score of 27
  • ACT (English) score of 22

ELS Ambassador Award:

  • A minimum high school or secondary school GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
  • Complete Level 112 at ELS Language Centers in the USA or Canada

Competitive Scholarships eligible criteria:

Chancellor’s Scholarship and Plater International Scholars Program:

  • Have a high school grades/GPA of 3.75
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1250 for the Math and Critical Reading sections
  •                                                  OR
  • SAT score of 1320 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections
  •                                                   OR
  •  A minimum ACT composite score of 28
