Canon Collins Trust Scholarships 2021

Canon Collins Trust is offering scholarships for Southern African students. These scholarships are offered for those applicants who want to pursue their Graduate study program in the different universities of the UK. This scholarship is focusing on need base applicants from Southern African Applicants can choose any university from these universities in UK, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of Sussex, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University of Sheffield, Queen Mary, University of London.

Applicants can choose any fields for their graduate study program that fields are offered in the 6 different universities in UK under this scholarship.

Other latest Scholarships in UK are also offered for different degrees and subjects all over the UK.

Number of Scholarships

Approximately 20-30 awards are offered annually for Southern African students.

  • 9 awards are offered by Kader Asmal
  • 18 awards are offered by Commonwealth

Duration of Scholarship

The duration is 01 to 02 years for graduate study in UK

Scholarship Description / Details

Canon Collins Trust scholarships provide many grants for the applicants, these following grants are:

  • Cover full tuition fees
  • University application fess
  • Examination and other fees
  • A monthly stipend
  • Return economy flight
  • Settling-in allowance
  • Other expenses
  • Accommodation
  • Book Allowance

Eligibility Criteria

In to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must fulfill some criteria:

  • Applicants must be a national of, in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
  • Applicants normally resident in southern Africa
  • A good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application
  • Applying for a full-time one-year taught master’s course at one of the participating universities
  • Applicants must have 2 years work experience in a relevant field

To apply for this scholarship:

  • Applicants must apply to their chosen universities separately
  • The Trust is only accepting online applications
  • Attach following documents:
  • Certified copy of undergraduate degree certificate, if available
  • Certified academic transcripts
  • Reference letters from two referees
  • ID document (The following are acceptable: Passport, Birth Certificate, Driver’s License)
  • Proof of refugee status, if applicable
