What is a Cisco Certified Architect?
CCAr is a Cisco product that is mainly planned for senior architects. These architects produce technical specifications to support business objectives. CCAr must be proficient at developing business strategies and goals. Further, the architect must be able to translate network capabilities into business impact and business conflicts into technical impact.
What CCAr Evaluates?
Credentials assess the knowledge of a candidate so that he may be able to develop the vision for the network. This vision is significant as it will make the candidate to get intact with business strategies and prerequisites. Mainly, it evaluates the competency level of a candidate in meeting challenges.
Requirements: Credential’s requirements are:
- Valid CCDE credential

- Competence of Networking Infrastructure Principles
How to apply for the CCAr Exam:
STEP NO. 1
- The Cisco Certified Architect program requires a non-refundable application fee of USD 3,750.
- Candidates will be notified via email including instructions on how to submit a résumé, project overview, and supporting documents. They must not send any classified project summary information.
- Following the submission of these papers, the Cisco Certified Architect team will contact you by phone for an interview. The candidate will be evaluated based on their proposal and interviewing performance.
- Judges will assess candidates based on factors such as interaction with executive management, involvement in translating business requirements to functional requirements, understanding of project budget, project complexity, ability to articulate rationale for architectural decisions, along compatibility between application materials and phone interview performance.
- The candidate will be contacted within 14 days following their application interview. If approved, a Board Exam date and place will be set, and the candidate will go on to Step 2.
STEP NO. 2
- The candidate must finish Step 1 and pay a non-refundable Board Exam fee of USD 11,250. They will get Architectural Challenge documentation and must submit an answer within 21 days.
- The response will be graded and applied to the in-person board test. The contender will face a panel consisting of 3 judges, who will assess the solution based on design, business expertise, understanding of the current network, risks, financial limits, and capacity to engage business and technical audiences.
- Results will be communicated within 21 days.
What are the chief responsibilities of a Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr)?

Criteria for Recertification: CCAr is valid for 5 years. Here are certain points to ponder:
- Candidates are required to fulfil the qualifying events (participation in new exam content.
OR
- Renewal of existing content in 24 hours
