What is Cisco Certified Architect? CCAr is a Cisco’s product that is mainly planned for senior architects. These architects produce technical specifications in order to support business objectives. CCAr must be proficient at developing business strategies and goals. Further, the architect must be able to translate network capabilities into business impact and business conflicts into technical impact.

What CCAr Evaluates? Credentials assess the knowledge of a candidate so that he may be able to develop the vision for network. This vision is significant as it will make candidate to get intact with business strategies and prerequisites. Mainly, it evaluates the competency level of a candidate in meeting challenges.

Requirements: Credential’s requirements are:

  • Valid CCDE credential

AND

  • Competence of Networking Infrastructure Principles

How to apply for CCAr Exam: It is demanded to develop network architecture in order to meet certain business prerequisites. Here is the mode to attain the credential:

  • Candidates are required to submit the summary of qualifications and projects (Keep in mind not project only summary as it will lead to disqualification)
  • Along with the summary, a non-refundable fee of US$ 3,750 is required.
  • Likewise, interview will be conducted by Architect Board Members to check the competency.
  • Thereby, if it gets approved, candidates will be allocated with challenge which will further be proved by candidates before Board members.
  • Onwards, candidates will have to prove their design by answering the questions. For training and preparation, CCAr syllabus is uploaded on cisco’s site.

Criteria for Recertification: CCAr is valid for 5 years. Here are certain points to ponder:

  • Candidates are required to fulfill the qualifying events (participation in new exam content.
