The George and Mary Josephine Hamman foundation is a Texas-chartered non-profit corporation in the United States. It has been providing services to the community in education sector from the last 63 years. The foundation is offering 70 scholarships to citizens (Houston high school seniors) of the United States. The applicants can choose any major at any four-year college or university of their choice. Applications are accepted only via online application system and 16th February is the last date to apply. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and will be notified by 15th March.

Scholarship Description / Details

George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation Scholarships for national Students provide many grants for the applicants, these following grants are:

  • Scholarship amount of $20,000 (disbursed over four years)
  • Applicants can take admission in any undergraduate program at any four-year college or university in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation Scholarships, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Only citizens of the United States can apply. Permanent resident status holders are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Applicant must be a senior year student in High School.
  • Senior students in Houston area high schools or those who are homeschooled in these countries (Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller) can apply.
  • Applicants must have taken SAT or ACT before applying for scholarship. SAT with a minimum score of 1000 (in math and reading/writing portion together) and ACT with composite score of 21.
  • Scholarships will be provided totally on merit (based on academics and financial need).

  • A Financial Qualification Statement form must be filled in and attached with the application form. It can be downloaded from here.
