Biography of Giovanni Caselli

Early Life

Giovanni Caselli inventor of pantelegraph was a scientist of start of nineteenth century. He was from Italian descent and was born in the year of 1815. His date of birth was as 25^th of April and he was born in Siena which is located in Italy. He is also termed as the scientist of physics. He started his formal education after some years of his age but before that, he was educated initially at his home. His father taught him the basics of the language and some very common subjects. Hence it can be considered the reason behind that he became a very good student at study whose teachers were always happy with him.

Education

Moving further, he joined his local school and studied there for some years. Later on, he joined another college for higher education where he studied till he received his higher secondary school certificate also known as intermediate. In university, he studied different fields and all of them were of his interest. He had a wide variety of study choice and hence got degrees in different fields. He earned his degrees in the field of history and literature initially but suddenly his interest shifted to the field of science. He earned another degree in the field and most finally, he studied the religion too.

Career

After completion of his education, he started his formal career but before that, he became a priest as just mentioned above that he was interested in study of religion too. His professional career was started in the year of 1841, when he started teaching in Parma which is located in province of Modena. Later on, he went back to Florence and after that, started teaching as a professor over there in the University of Florence. His fields of teaching over there were as physics and related subjects.

Inventor of Pantelegraph

Giovanni Caselli is widely credited as the inventor of valuable pantelegraph which he invented whiles his stay in Florence. He was teaching in the university and was conducting many inventory researches and hence as a result, he came with the invention of pantelegraph.

Pantelegraph

Pantelegraph cannot be termed as any normal device and instead of that it is a complex machine which was used at that time. Now days, it is also known as facsimile machine and it can be said as that pantelegraph was the older form of this machine. The main and most important function of this machine was that it was used for the transmission over vey normal telegraph lines. The machine was started to be used on commercial level for the first time in the year of 1860 and it was very useful in the way that it was possible to share even the drawing, handwriting and signature with this machine.

Death

He died in the year of 1891 on 8^th of June.  He was almost 76 years of age at the time of his death.
