Guangdong Government is offering scholarships for foreign students. These awards are offered for those applicants who want to do their undergraduate study at the Guangdong University in China. These scholarships are offered with the aim of encouraging increasing outstanding overseas applicants to study in Guangdong, promoting the development of Guangdong High Education Management of Foreign Students. Also, the goal of this scholarship program is to promote the advancement of higher education by having foreign students in Guangdong and to work towards the development of the international influence of Guangdong Higher Education. This is a merit based scholarship program.

Scholarship is awarded to study in any subjects offered by the university.

Guangdong Government will be offering 1 to 2 years.

Scholarship Description / Details:

Guangdong Government will provide ￥10000 per year.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be considered as eligible for this scholarship candidate must meet the following requirements/ criteria:

• Not offered freshmen applicants, undergraduate students currently reading in full-time courses and with formal academic qualification
• Have foreign nationality, with valid foreign passport and visa
• Proof of fundamental Chinese Language Proficiency
• Must be age under 40 years old
• Passed in all subjects of compulsory courses and no disciplinary records in the last academic year
• Have not gained or awarded with any other scholarship during the academic year.

Guangdong Government will assess the excellent students and will announce the names of selected candidates. The Department of Education of Guangdong province will review the names of selected candidates and gives the final decision. The list of shortlisted candidates who won the scholarship awards is announced by the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) Institute for International Education.

Guangdong Government Outstanding Student Scholarship Application Process

Here are the details of the Guangdong Government Outstanding Student Scholarship Program.

Step 1:

Download the application form from Application Form for Guangdong Government Outstanding Foreign Student Scholarship.

Applicants who want to apply for this scholarship program should submit the following documents:

• School attendance certificate (Academic Affairs Office)
• Undergraduate transcript (Academic Affairs Office)
• One copy of foreign passport (personal information and valid visa).

Step 2:

Select the university related to your field and fill the scholarship form.

Candidates have to submit an application form along with documents to office 102 or email them to iie@gdufs.edu.cn. Guangdong Government will assess the excellent students and will announce the names of selected candidates. The Department of Education of Guangdong province will review the names of selected candidates and gives the final decision.
