HEC National Research Program for Universities

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is offering NRPU research grants for different research domains. This program is offered for national researchers and faculty members of different institutions and universities from within Pakistan. Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is looking for researchers to participate in research projects under NRPU.

Field of Study: The research projects are available these following fields under NRPU:

• Social Sciences
• Management Sciences
• Humanities
• Basic Sciences
• Natural Sciences
• Medical Sciences
• Engineering & Technology
• Agricultural Sciences

Duration: NRPU research grants are for a maximum up to three years, there is no restriction on the lower limit

Awards Description: HEC provides Rs.20.00 million for NRPU.

• For Physics, Chemistry and Biology:
• If Impact Factor is 100 or above then Eligible Amount is 20 million
• If Impact Factor is 50 to 99 then Eligible Amount is 17 million
• If Impact Factor is 20 to 49 then Eligible Amount is 15 million
• If Impact Factor is 10 to 19 then Eligible Amount is 12 million
• If Impact Factor is 0 to 9 then Eligible Amount is 10 million
• For others fields:
• If Impact Factor is 50 or above then Eligible Amount is 20 million
• If Impact Factor is 25 to 49 then Eligible Amount is 17 million
• If Impact Factor is 10 to 24 then Eligible Amount is 15 million
• If Impact Factor is 5 to 9 then Eligible Amount is 12 million
• If Impact Factor is 0 to 4 then Eligible Amount is 10 million

Eligibility Criteria:

• A researcher who is full time faculty member of any public sector institute and private sector institute
• Principal Investigator will run only two projects simultaneously either there cost will be within the eligible amount or less as per his impact factor.

How to Apply: Applicants, who want to apply for the research grant offered by NRPU:

• Applicants should download NRPU application form from the website.
• Applicants should submit the soft filled application form through email before the last date.
• Applicant should also submit six copies of the application form in the hard copy to the director HEC through courier.
• Applicant should mention his / her field of specialization in the subject of email.
