Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PSI) Scholarships for International Students 2021 / 2022

Perimeter Institute welcomes national and international students for a one-year master’s-level course in theoretical physics. This scholarship is designed to bring highly qualified and exceptionally motivated graduate students all over the world to the cutting edge of the field in an intense, interactive training environment. The PSI program is taught by most brilliant physicists in the dynamic research atmosphere of Perimeter Institute (a leading centre). It is a 10 months master’s training program starting in mid of August till June of following year. Upon completion of the program, successful graduates will receive a Perimeter Scholars International Certificate from Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PSI) as well as a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Waterloo.

Approximately 30 scholarships are offered annually to the international students to study in master programs.

The duration of the PSI scholarship is One-year (1 year) master program.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics (PSI) scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Canadian / Permanent resident, International / study permit student can apply for PSI scholarship.
  • Enthusiastic, interactive and exceptional students from around the world are highly encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in physics and / or math with a minimum of three undergraduate or graduate courses in physics beyond Introductory Physics.
  • The minimum score required for English proficiency is 90, with a minimum of 25 in writing and speaking.
