Romanian Government Scholarship Application Process

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the Ministry of National Education (MNE) are offering scholarships for international students (except EU) all over the world. These scholarships are offered for those applicants who want to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate study programs at the different universities in Romania. It is a fully funded scholarship program to study for bachelors, masters, or Ph.D. degree programs.

Here are the details of the application process for the Romanian Government Scholarship for International Students.

Step 1

Download the application form from here.

  • Completed application form along with the required documents should be sent via electronic or physical format through the diplomatic missions of Romania.
  • Applicants sending applications to the registry offices of the MFA or Ministry of education and research or sending via email to MFA employees or departments of the MFA headquarters will not be considered.

Note: There is no application fee for the application form.

Step 2

Attach all necessary documents with the application form:

  • Cover letter issued by the diplomatic mission
  • A dully filled in MFA application form
  • MNE application form
  • Authorized copies of the study documents
  • Authorized copies and authorized translation of the diploma supplement transcript for the studies done so far
  • Authorized copy and authorized translation of birth certificate
  • An authorized copy of the passport
  • Medical certificate
  • CV
  • 4 recent passport-type photos
  • Application files submitted by post or directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
  • Applications files should contain documents in English or French language.

Note: Applications with missing documents will not be entertained.

Here you will mention your personal information like (your name, surname, date of birth, citizenship, etc).

Here you will mention your academic qualification, your study program preferences in Romania, proficiency in other languages, etc.

Here you will sign the statement which states that you will submit the original documents on your arrival in Romania.

Here you will sign the declaration form.

Note: If any information is found to be untrue then the process of your application will be terminated.

Step 4

Applicants must complete the form by using capital letters.
