University of Queensland is offering many Hong Kong Global Leaders Scholarships for the citizens / nationals of Hong Kong. These Hong Kong Global Leaders Scholarships are offered for those who want to pursue their study at University of Queensland in Australia. So, the Hong Kong Global Leaders Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for Hong Kong students to learn from UQ experts within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and build professional experience with opportunities that may include mentoring, an internship and opportunities to engage with industry.

Applicants can choose any field of study (for their bachelor’s or master’s degree program) from the list of faculty programs that are mentioned below:

• Business
• Economics
• Law

(MBA is excluded)

Scholarships Description / Details

Hong Kong Global Leaders Scholarships for international students provide many grants for the applicants, these following grants are:

• A scholarship amount of $5000 for tuition fee.
• Applicants will receive an opportunity to be a part of UQ Global Leaders community, this will help them in developing their employability skills.
• After completion of degree, applicants will join a global network of outstanding global leaders to build professional networks at home country and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for Hong Kong Global Leaders Scholarships for international students, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

• This scholarship is only for citizens of Hong Kong who normally reside in Hong Kong.
• Applicants must not be studying already in Australia (except those who’re studying English).
• Academic Qualification:
  • For undergraduate studies: Students must have completed the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination or a recognized Hong Kong sub-degree (Associate Degree or Higher Diploma) programs.
  • For graduate studies: Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
• Students who have received an unconditional offer for a relevant program and who are commencing students.
• Applicants must have excellent academic records.

Note: Applicants can not receive this scholarship in conjunction with any other scholarship at a time.

How to Apply / Download Scholarships Form / Documents Required

Applicants can apply for this scholarship, must follow some steps:

• First applicants must apply for admission at University of Queensland and receive an offer letter. Upon receiving offer letter and a UQ student ID, applicants can apply for this scholarship.
• Applicants must apply online for their chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.
• Attach all supporting documents with the application form.
• Required Documents:
  • CV / Resume (Latin American students applying for the internship to submit this in a word document).
  • Motivational Letter / Personal Statement (should not exceed 1000 words).
  • One Reference Letter (from teaching staff or previous employer).
